  1. Overall – I like this beer just fine. There is a fair amount of malt in the middle part of the taste of this one, and it ends with a hint of hoppiness. I get some of the roastiness that I expect in a black ipa, but not as much as in Otter Creek’s. This is not a beer that hits me as an ipa when I drink, but it is not as hoppy as I normally expect. That said, it is quite tasty and definitely worth a drink.

  2. Pours dark brown/black with a mixture of delightfully powerful malt and hops aromas.
The taste is definitely more roast than IPA with layers of flavor. The taste hits the buds with flavors reminiscent of a Red ale and later a brown and then the roast takes over reminding you that you are drinking a black beer, finishing with a slight toasted seasame/peanut flavor.
The hop levels are nice, I would like more, but they are there. Hops play the supporting role in this beer.
This is a tasty Black IPA which happens to fall on the roasted side of this Beer's Mason-Dixon line. The interpretation of this style by the brewers make this a fun style of beer.
No two BIPAs are ever the same, so give this one a shot, you will not be disappointed.
    Enjoy
